March 16, 2007, REDLANDS, CA – Elizabeth Haefer was recently honored at the prestigious 2007 IEAC ADDY Award’s Dinner, held at the historic Mission Inn in Riverside. The annual awards event was presented by the Inland Empire Ad Club and the American Advertising Federation.
Haefer, a senior at the University of Redlands with a double major in design and business, won three Student ADDY Awards for her series highlighting California Safe Haven Law Awareness. She received a gold ADDY for her billboard design entered in the Out-of-Home Division. She additionally won two more silver ADDY awards, in the Mixed Media and Magazine Ad Campaign categories.The Inland Empire Ad Club’s Advertising Awards is the first level of a three-part competition of the American Advertising Federation. Gold winners from this local competition will go on to compete in the AAF District 15 competition against winners of the competitions in Los Angeles, San Diego, Orange Country, Palm Springs, Las Vegas, Bakersfield, Yuma/El Centro and Santa Barbara/Ventura/San Luis Obispo Counties. Winners in that competition will go on to compete against district winners throughout the nation in the national American Advertising Federation competition to be judged in McLean, Virginia in May and awarded at the AAF national convention in Louisville, Kentucky in June.
Elizabeth is a work study student as an administrative assistant at RedFusion Media in Redlands, a leading web development and content maintenance company in the Inland Empire. After graduating in May, she plans on pursuing her career in advertising.
